We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

Join us on our epic journey and challenge as we train to cross Wales on a road bicycle in 24 hours at 5.30am on the 20th of May 2023. Starting at the England side of the Severn Bridge passing through the heart of Wales and finish on the far north of the island of Anglesey.

First we cross the Severn Bridge and then ride through the Wye Valley passing Tintern Abbey. From there we head towards Monmouth. We then head NW towards Hay on Wye and continue on for Newton. After that we head for Bala Lake, on the way passing over the Hirnant Pass the highest point of the ride at 510m. We now take the road to Betws y Coed and then head for Anglesey crossing the Menai Bridge and finishing at Cemaes Bay on Anglesey the most northerly village in Wales. There's over 4600m of climbing and 340 km or 210 miles of riding to complete.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

The Ride Wales in a Day 340 team would like to help the Alzeimers Society in their goal to support people in their daily battle.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
