Jenson Button Trust Triathlon

Jenson Button Trust Triathlon · 23 July 2017 ·
Hi all,
Welcome to my Just Giving page. On the 23rd of July I will be taking part in my first ever triathlon, supporting Barnardos. For someone who could not run a bath before my training started this will no doubt be the hardest fitness challenge of my life. The event takes place at Markeaton Park in Derby.
Along with of course raising money for a fantastic cause this gives me a chance to really change my life after the many issues that I've had over the last couple of years. It came to a point in when I knew I had to change the way I looked and my eating habits. And as many of you know I don't do things by halves. Wetsuit, bike and running shoes at the ready for two rounds of hell! There's also the incentive of racing the 2009 F1 world champion which isn't too shabby of course.
Below is some information regarding the event and what Barnardos do for children and young people across the UK -
The fourth annual Jenson Button Trust Triathlon is planned to be bigger than ever before with elite, seasoned and novice triathletes and teams competing alongside Jenson Button in a day full of sport. Following a preliminary round, the top male and female performers will complete a 400m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run in order to raise crucial funds for Barnardo's.
All money raised will help transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people. This includes children looking after an ill or disabled family member, children in abusive relationships and young people leaving care.
Thank you so much for your support!
