Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am raising money in memory of Ted French, a beautiful baby boy born on the 25th November 2012. After only a few months Ted was diagnosed with mitochondrial
disease, a rare condition that there is currently no cure for. Tragically, Ted passed away in May 2013.
Teds parents are a true inspiration. They quickly set about fundraising in his memory and have done an amazing job. Because of the effort they have put in I felt inspired to try and help by setting myself a challenge and hopefully raising some money for the Lily Foundation in the process. The Lily Foundation is a fantastic charity that funds research into mitochondrial disease, raises awareness and also supports families affected by this terrible disease.
The plan is to cycle 10 counties in 3 days at the end of August this year (14th, 15th & 16th). The ride will take in Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire. The route will cover in excess of 500km's. The most I've ever cycled in one day is about 120km's and I certainly didn't want to ride a bike the following day so this should be quite a challenge!
It would be amazing if you could spare £3 to donate to this fantastic cause.
Thanks.
