Story
Milla - Beautiful, Brave, Inspirational
On 13th December 2016 our daughter Milla, passed away after just over a week into a family visit to Indonesia. Milla was 10 years old and her unexpected passing has left my wife Rini, twin sister Louisa, myself and our families in deep shock.
Moreover, losing Milla has had a profound effect on so many friends as well as people who had never met Milla, but felt a connection to her. The hundreds of messages we received showed us how much people loved Milla and how moved they were when she passed away.
I can't begin to explain how deeply losing Milla has affected us, but we are thankful that despite Milla's severe disabilities, she enjoyed 10 happy years with us. She smiled everyday. She laughed and brought us and everyone who met her such joy. She was and is our beautiful, brave and inspirational little girl.
Make A Wish / The Challenge
Make A Wish remain a charity close to our hearts. Milla had a wish granted in 2012 to go to Disneyland - a special holiday we all remember so fondly.
So I am doing something I have long promised I would do but had not yet done it.
I am going to cycle 200 miles from Worcester to Make A Wish UK in Camberley, Surrey and back in 2 days. Hilly and exhausting and quite possibly wet, windy and very cold.
I will cycle day 1 by myself unsupported. I will meet up with my friend Jim Yeoman in Camberley. He will be cycling 100 miles from Margate to Camberley. I intend visiting Make A Wish to say hello and thank you for all their support and continuing work making dreams come true for children with life limiting or terminal conditions or severe disabilities.
We will cycle the 100 miles back to Worcester together on day 2.
The cycle ride will take place at the end of February.
So please help me raise £500 in memory of Milla and to support Make A Wish. I know Milla will be smiling.
Thank you
