Story
Thanks so much for all the donations so far, please spread the word!
UPDATE Sunday 15th April 2012 (23rd anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster):
I completed the ride; a total of 433.60 km (269.43 miles).
It was incredibly challenging, incredibly emotional.
Please take a look at the site for photos from throughout the ride, including laying the wreath at Hillsborough and the finish at Anfield.

In April 2012 I'll be riding my bike from my home in Suffolk, East Anglia, to Anfield football stadium in Liverpool. My route will take me via Sheffield and the Hillsborough stadium where 96 Liverpool FC fans - some as young as 10 years old - lost their lives on April 15th 1989.
I'm cycling in the memory of those 96 souls, and (via The Community Foundation for Merseyside / The Jamie Caragher 23 Foundation) to raise money for the Hillsborough Family Support Group, the Hillsborough Justice Campaign and other Merseyside based charities and initiatives.
I've got a lot of hard work ahead of me to get in shape and prepare for this ride and I'm blogging about my journey to prepare, and will be posting details of the ride here:
Any amount you can donate, no matter how small will be massively appreciated.
I know football fans all over the world - regardless of their club allegiance - all are still saddened by the horrific events that unfolded during that FA Cup semi-final 23 years ago, and your donation can help in the continuing fight for truth and justice, and to improve the lives of kids on Merseyside.
