Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Ride for Freedom 2019 is a 10-day cycle ride around England & Wales (Cardiff) organised to support the rehabilitation of survivors of modern day slavery.

In the U.K., there are an estimated 13,000 victims of modern slavery - although many feel that’s a conservative figure. Men, women and children are affected, working on construction sites, in factories, fields, car washes, nail bars and elsewhere.

Unseen supports the victims of modern slavery. It operates safe houses, runs the Modern Slavery Helpline (a service that victims and the public who suspect a case of modern slavery can use), and influences the systems that keep slavery hidden.

The cities that will be visited on the Ride For Freedom Tour include: Bristol; Cambridge; Cardiff; London; Gloucester; Manchester; Northampton; Nottingham; Oxford; Bracknell/Reading and Watford.

The ride will start on Monday 7 October 2019, and finish on Anti-Slavery Day, Friday 18 October. I am riding all 10 stages and already 10 other people have committed to cycle the last stage, from Bracknell to Central London.
