Story
Sadly on the 20th July 2011 our dad passed away suddenly after 9 years of suffering from Heart failure.
We have organised the 8th annual Rick Taylor memorial rugby game which this year falls on the actual anniversary on Saturday 20th July 2019. It is Stockton’s turn to host the game following a great day at Acklam last year.
The game is to firstly remember him but at the same time to raise as much money as we can for Heart related charities.
Over the past 7 years we have raised over £23,000 in his memory for charity.
This year a Stockton select squad will once again play a Acklam select squad. Stockton lost the trophy last year so will looking to win it back in what will no doubt be a hard
fought encounter.
We will again be raising money for the South Cleveland Heart Fund. It is a fantastic regional charity and they continue to require funding to keep James Cook University Hospital, the Regional Cardiothoracic Centre at the leading edge of advances of care for heart patients.
As always there is no minimum donation as any contribution is kindly received.
The game will be held at Stockton this year on the 1st team pitch for the first time, address as follows:
52A Oxbridge Ave, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 4JF and will kick off at 2.00pm.
Everyone is welcome so please come along to support the event if you can.
Thanks
Dan & Steve
