Story
Sadly on the 20th July 2011 our dad passed away suddenly after 9 years of suffering from Heart failure.
We have organised the 6th annual Rick Taylor memorial rugby game on Saturday 15th July 2017 and for the first time it will be held at Stockton Rugby Club’s new home at Grangefield.
The game is to firstly remember him but at the same time to raise as much money as we can for Heart related charities. Over the past 5 years we have raised over £15,000 in his memory for charity.
This year a Stockton select squad will once again host an Acklam select squad. Stockton regained the trophy last year so the Acklam squad fresh from a season in the highly competitive Yorkshire 1 league will looking to win it back in what will no doubt be a hard fought encounter.
We will again be raising money for the South Cleveland Heart Fund., they succeeded in their quest to raise £1 million in order to purchase a new state of the art MRI scanner. Although they achieved this massive target, their work is never done and they continue to require funding to keep James Cook University Hospital, the Regional Cardiothoracic Centre at the leading edge of advances of care for heart patients.
As always there is no minimum donation as any contribution is kindly received.
The game will be held for the first time at Stockton Rugby Club’s new ground,
52 Oxbridge Avenue, Stockton, TS197QY and will kick off at 2.15pm.
Please come along to support the event if you can.
Thanks
