Chrysalis works throughout the South Coast region with transgender individuals and their significant others, in a variety of ways, to ensure that people who are exploring their gender identity are provided with the help and support they need. One of our organisational key strategic aims is to reduce isolation and marginalisation of people with gender identity issues by providing support and advice, in order for them to be better placed to participate in mainstream society.
We help build connections by working with local volunteers, agencies, and counsellors to provide a breadth of support; life-skills, workshops, and facilitated groups, alongside offering peer support.
Chrysalis provides training to local businesses, individuals and community groups, to aid understanding in the general population about the difficulties trans people face and to ensure they are not excluded as well as assisting with advocacy, when necessary.
