To my friends...COVID-19 has created many critical situations and the diagnosis of and treatment for breast cancer certainly falls into this category which  is why I'm asking you to join me in raising critical funds for Gateway to Hope. Through our Virtual Gala with supporters like you, WE WILL continue to do the work needed to assist so many of those who are facing daunting medical bills during this pandemic crisis. Too many are out of work and left without insurance. Gateway to Hope is a breast cancer lifeline and this is why we must face the need....we cannot let down those who need our help. 

I have been a board member, past board chair and associated with GTH for more than 10 years. 2020 is certainly our greatest challenge. No one should have to choose between life-saving care for breast cancer and life's basic necessities.

 A $2500 donation will pay for an entire year of treatment navigation AND financial assistance for one woman – ensuring a professional trained GTH staff member will help her access all of the resources she needs, and avoid more than $800,000 in medical expenses, for an entire year. 

 A $1000 donation will support one woman’s basic living expenses for the duration of her treatment, making sure she has the safe living environment as well as the childcare and transportation necessary for her and her family's needs during her treatment This will ensure she can go to her treatments without financial worry – ultimately helping to save her life.

 A $250 donation will pay for one month of insurance premiums, keeping a woman insured during treatment. This has the potential to save her more than $100,000 in medical expenses in just one month and make sure she can go to her treatments without financial worry – ultimately helping to save her life.

A $100 donation will pay for the education materials needed to reach thousands of community members each year, empowering women and their families to access the care they need. When a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer early, her chance of survival increases by 90%. Gateway to Hope reaches more than 10,000 community members annually with our community outreach and breast health education work.
