Story
Thank you very much for donating to my fundraising page for Kingston Hospital and its NHS staff during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The health and wellbeing of NHS staff is a key element of the wider programme of support Kingston Hospital Charity provides. During the current crisis, charitable support is helping to enhance the rest areas for doctors, nurses and healthcare workers, as well as ensuring frontline staff have access to healthy snacks and refreshments.
Each month I run an ultramarathon to raise awareness of the problem of pain. This project from Understand Pain social enterprise (www.understandpain.com/upandrun) is called upandrun and encourages people to get active to be well and improve their lives. This month I want to dedicate the run to the NHS and raise money for the local NHS staff.
On Monday 20th April, I will be running around and around my block for 100 kilometers. Please support by donating whatever you can afford so that we can help NHS staff keep well at this time and beyond.
Many moons ago, I worked at Kingston Hospital as a nurse!
* I have chosen a route that takes in quiet streets and will maintain distance.
