THANK YOU! I finished in 1 hour 56 minutes and 18 seconds, and can nearly see in colour again.
Thank you very much indeed for all your support, and for helping me reach my target of £400. This page will be open for donations for a while yet, so if you know of anyone who meant to sponsor me but didn't get round to it, please send them this link.
Mental health problems cost the UK £77 billion each year. 1 in 4 of us experience mental distress at some point in our lives. But just £35 lets five more people access Mind's helpline. So we've helped 55 people receive support that otherwise they wouldn't have been able to benefit from. Well done us.
Thank you again!
-----------------------
Hello everyone.
I am running 13 and a bit miles on March 15th through Bath, which is a city with a perfectly good bus system, and why would anyone want to run that far when you can get a bus?
I'm raising money for Mind. Mind is a charity which works for better mental health for everyone, provides support for people with experience of mental distress and challenges the stigma and discrimination that those with mental health problems can experience. Everyone knows about physical health: mental health is just as important but a lot easier to forget about.
I'd like to give them my support, and if you'd like to as well you can sponsor me here. Justgiving say this:
"Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mind - The Mental Health Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation."
and I believe them.
Thank you! I really appreciate your support - it means a lot.
(and if you want to see how my training's going, I'll be keeping a diary at http://rich.headsnet.com/notebook/category/running/)
