Ten years ago my wife was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer and had to have major surgery, now ten years on she is still doing well and I am going to put some money back into the research for this all too common cancer.  Not only am I doing the Great North Run on 5th October but doubling this up with the Great North Swim (a mile in Windermere) on September 13th.  Please give generously so I can beat my previous fundraising "best" of £1,700 and break the £2,000 mark.
