This is the 10th anniversary of the Fireflies ride over the Alps, a gruelling 8 day, 1000km cycle from Geneva to Cannes, with multiple climbs of up to 2500 meters each on roads that stretch upwards - and then downwards - in series of vertiginous hairpin bends.  In June I will be joining 74 other cyclists to raise money for Leuka http://www.leuka.org.uk, a charity that funds research into the treatment and cure of Leukaemia, purchases cutting edge equipment and that has built the state of the art Catherine Lewis Centre at Hammersmith Hospital.
