Story
On Saturday October 1st, I successfully trekked up Mount Snowdon with my good friends Mat Toose, Pete kemp, Ali Rees, and a whole bunch of wonderful people. All 3,560ft of it! It was a wonderful day, hot, windy near the top, but all for a very good cause. All money raised will go to The Stroke Association to help fund the research into prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of all affected and help in the long term support of their families. Ali's gran recently passed away, due to a stroke and its complications, and I myself have seen first hand how it affects the sufferer and the families when my own father had a minor stroke the year before last. Ali has organised this event to help raise funds for this brilliant charity. It is hugely under-funded, and receives the least government funding of the total monies given to the top three killers in the UK (cancer, heart disease, stroke), so is dependant on support of indiviudals to raise the money needed to fund their work.
