Running for The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign
Stop Press...£1000 Fundraising Target Busted!
I thank every one of you for your incredible generosity... it is absolutely humbling. May I raise the bar a little further? No pressure!
How about a new target of £1500?
and now...£1500 Target Passed How far can we go?
£2000...Incredible!
Ok, so I'm nuts! But it seemed like such a good idea when I decided to volunteer. The London 10 km Run marks the anniversary of my starting "chemotherapy" treatments and what better way of continuing to show two fingers to my cancer than to give it a little payback by raising money to fight it! My favourite people at The Royal Marsden Hospital are my obvious choice of charity. They do so much for me and it must be time for me to show a little appreciation I think.
My thanks to Pete and Mark for wanting to join me, and to my son Daniel for agreeing to be embarrassed running with the oldies! Curiously, we (mostly) all hate running...so please give generously to compensate us for the pain and discomfort!! I have set myself a target of ten pence per stride. £1000 in total.
Our pain is the Royal Marsdens gain!
Richard
N.B. Please don't let the size of some very generous sponsors put you off sponsoring some small amount. Every penny is received with thanks.
Note from the site: Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me. The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you if you tick the relevant box.
