Story
This year I'm riding the Fred Whitton Challenge in memory of friend and neighbour Alex Baron.
Alex lost his fight against cancer in February aged just 27. An incomprehensible loss to his family and friends Alex will be very sadly missed.
Although I didn't know Alex for long his warmth and friendly nature always struck me. As did his popularity and large circle of friends.
In some small way I am raising money for Cancer Research, one of Alex' chosen charities.
The challenge is to try for a sub 7 hour time this year on the formidable Fred Whitton Challenge.

Probably the toughest one day cycle sportive in the UK, the route is 112 miles and over 11000 feet of climbing. It takes in all 6 of the big Lakeland passes (Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott and Wynose) as well as Fangs Brow, Cold Fell and Matterdale.
Please help me fund raise for Cancer Research, in memory of Alex.
