We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My brother John was first diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 26. I suppose I didn't really understand much about his condition then as I was only 14 years old. I remember my mum telling me that the doctors told her not to worry too much as there would be a cure within 10 years. John is now 60 and there's still no cure!;(

My daughter Bethany was diagnosed with type 1 when she was 5. Beth manages her condition really well, and her condition is currently controlled by an insulin pump. Beth is now 19 and is currently studying History & Poltics at Nottingham University. Diabetes has and never will stop her living life to the full and achieving her goals in life.

Lucinda is Johns daughter. My niece was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 7. Lucinda is 20 now and is working full time as well as being completely horse mad!

It is very important to me that there is a cure for diabetes in my lifetime. Your donations will go a long way in making this wish come true.
