Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those of you who don’t know my wife, Penny, was injured by a horse in February 2014 and suffered a C6/7 complete fracture of her spine which resulted in her being completely paralysed from the neck downwards. She spent 6 months in Salisbury Hospital, the Spinal Injuries Unit for the South West. That time spent in the hospital was extremely challenging and made more bearable by having access to the wonderful garden and amenities provided by the charity.
The charity is now making wheelchair accessible gardens within all the spinal units in the United Kingdom. The gardens require constant maintenance and improvements. For example they have now built a wheelchair accessible conservatory in the garden at Salisbury. These things can only be achieved by fundraising support.
The charity is supported in the majority by volunteers.
Penny sadly died as a result of complications from her injuries in July 2017.
Now it’s time for me to take on a challenge to raise funds for such a worthy cause in memory of Penny.
Every £1 that you kindly donate I will match to try and raise as much as I possible can.
Thankyou so much, for reading and donating whatever you can.
