Story
When our son William was stillborn in June 2018, we were absolutely devastated. Arriving at the hospital we were prepared for almost everything but then found that our baby had no heartbeat. There is no preparing for the loss of a baby.
The hospital provided us with the use of a cuddle cot which had been donated via the charity 4Louis. The cuddle cot allowed us to spend time with William that we otherwise wouldn't have had an enabled us to make precious memories.
4Louis also provided us with a memory box which now holds some of our most treasured possessions including William's hand and footprints, photographs, his first teddy and a lock of his hair.
I've decided to run the Great North Run 2019 to raise money for 4Louis with the aim to fund a cuddle cot for a local hospital. 4Louis is an incredible charity that has helped us so much during the toughest time of our lives.

4Louis is a charity established in December 2009, following the stillbirth of our own son Louis, to provided tailored memory boxes to various hospital units and hospices across the UK and Ireland. These are provided for families who suffer the trauma of miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal/infant loss, and the death of a child up to the age of 16. We also support midwives and nurses with other vital equipment such as moses baskets, cuddle cots, camera equipment, and support with bereavement suites. 4Louis can also take part in your study days as speakers and can even fund study days if required. All of our services are provided entirely free of charge. www.4louis.co.uk
