I will be running the Zurich Marathon in memory of my father, John Toye (1942-2021). Refugee Support Devon is a cause that would have been close to his heart, as it combines the local and the international.

Running a marathon for the first time at the age of 48 may not be very wise, but perhaps it it is wiser than doing it at the age of 49.

Contrary to what you might think, the Zurich Marathon is the flattest in the world. This did have some bearing on my decision to sign up!
