Story
For some time now I've been doing a couple of walks every year with a group of friends. We'd typically walk about 20 miles, always incorporating 3 or 4 pub stops and traditionally finishing at the horse and jockey in Tyler's Green. Last year the youngest and fittest of our number, James, suggested a more ambitious route around the Isle of Wight. It sounded like a fun long weekend break till we discovered that we were supposed to cover the 106km (66 miles) in 24 hours! Covid gave us a reprieve, but it's back on this summer, on 10th July. We've been training every weekend for the last couple of months but as the walks get longer the blisters get worse, so I'd be very grateful if you could oblige me not to wimp out by making a donation to a very deserving cause: the Alzheimer's Trust.
Many thanks,
Richard.
