Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In October I'll be part of a team cycling between the epicentres of the two earthquakes that hit Nepal in 2015.
Our aim is simple, to raise money to help villages rebuild their schools that were destroyed by the earthquake. Our ride is not long, probably less than 500km, but it will involve a lot of tough climbing and some rough terrain.
It costs around £20,000 to rebuild a school using local labour and local materials. The YYY foundation has already rebuilt four schools and currently is in the process of building three more, with our help we can take that number into double figures. I've visited Nepal before, and when you speak with the Nepalese it's apparent how much they really value education. Even the poorest families will try to pay for schooling, as there is no free education in Nepal. So this is a great cause and every pound donated will go to the charity and benefit many Nepalese children for years to come.
