Story

I really respect the work that hospices do.  I have worked with several Hospices over the last few years and have been so impressed by the commitment, dedication and care that the people working there show to all their patients. They are about far more than just providing care at the end of one's life and actually offer families real choices, compassion and dignity in extremely difficult times.

Kirkwood Hospice offers families across Kirklees a wide variety of services, including Inpatient or Community based Palliative Care plus support and therapies for patients and families and I really want to raise as much money as I can for this worthwhile cause.  There are lots of volunteers putting in effort in a wide variety of roles and settings to support the fantastic work that Kirkwood do and I want to do my little bit to help.

It is my 50th Birthday in March and it seems a fitting time to challenge myself to something like this, having never done anything remotely similar before. I am nervous but excited to be taking part and to be able to raise money for such a worthwhile cause makes the Skydive something I will be really proud to do.
