Story

Lewis Sewell from Castle Donington was diagnosed with a rare cancer on 5th February 2020. Before his terminal diagnosis, he was preparing to audition for drama school, and he saw how difficult it is for young people to access opportunities available in the arts industry. He came up with the idea of establishing a fund to support aspiring actors and set out the criteria himself for the awards. By taking part in Walk for Lewis: 18 miles for 18 years, your donation will be divided equally between Rainbows and the Lewis Sewell Memorial Trust. This will help support young people in the arts industry and allow Rainbows to continue to offer bereavement support to families like Lewis. However you complete the Walk for Lewis: 18 miles for 18 years, please remember to follow the latest Covid-19 guidelines. The money raised will be split 50:50 between the Lewis Sewell Memorial Trust and Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.
