With Charlie, we've been very lucky. His treatment has been effective and we're looking forward to life again. I'm doing this event for those friends and their families who haven't been so lucky. This one is for people like Doug, John and, most recently, Rick for whom the cancer treatment wasn't successful.

The Etape Caledonia is 81 miles around Highland Perthshire. Those that know me might be surprised to hear that this is twice as far as I've ever cycled in a day before so it's a challenge. Dealing with a bleak cancer diagnosis is way beyond a challenge, though, and so I'll be cycling as part of the Daffodil team to raise money for the great work that Marie Curie do. Please give all you can.
