I am going to Mozambique later this year with Habitat for Humanity under the (OVC) 'Orphans and Vulnerable Childrens Programme' having been inspired by team leaders Neil Reid and Debbie Vincent who have been part of previous trips to this country.

We have great hopes to construct somewhere in the region of 15-20 houses and help a new generation of children, this of course depends on the support we receive before we leave.

The communities we will  work with are some of the poorest in the region, with Aids affecting many. The OVC programme has made a huge impact on these communities, providing many with not only housing, but inheritance rights, land ownership and presents income generation activites for those most in need.
