Story
Who would have thought?
After (just about) getting through all 26.2 miles in 2017 and settling down to newly married life with my wife and (all 4) rescue cats, I watched the marathon coverage earlier this year. And the memories came flooding back - one of the most amazing, challenging and fantastic days of my life came flooding back. Even helping my patients with all sorts of musculo-skeletal injuries over the last year (I'm a GP trainee, soon to fully qualify) didn't dampen the enthusiasm.
The mid-winter sub-zero training memories didn't, nor the inability to walk for the next week!
I cannot think of a charity or cause closer to my heart - if you know me, you'll know I'm very much #TeamCat (although the RSPCA looks after all animals!) and does some truly wonderful work in very challenging situations.
With your support I'm hoping to raise more then the *outstanding £2090* we managed in 2017, and make it round London in a much more decent time - I’ll settle for 5:59:59 - would be brilliant for the kid who was told by his PE teachers "exercise isn't for him". Mind you, not crashing and burning/limping the last few miles would be nice too...
Thank you, truly, for your support, running advice, and well wishes as we take on this crazy challenge once more.
