LOROS is a Hospice based in Leicester which provides care for terminally unwell patients and their families. It is a charitable organization and for it to continue to function relies heavily on charitable donations.

Matthew and I are doctors who worked at LOROS earlier this year and in the process became good friends.

We both thoroughly enjoyed our time at LOROS and were able to witness first hand the amazing care which is provided and how important it is for the people of Leicestershire to have such a facility. 

We are both running the Leicester Half Marathon in the 11th October 2009 in order to try and raise money and awareness of LOROS and the work that it does.

During our time there Matt broke his leg: Paintballing on a day off and the run will help is recuperation and return to his fell running best!

 And me... Im trying to get fitter and more svelte in order to boost my career prospects as a TV Doctor. Dr Hilary Jones: Watch out!!
