Story
As many of you know, Florence (Floss/Flo) was diagnosed with leukaemia in August 2014. Floss was so brave and always maintained her dignity and wonderful self-deprecating humour throughout her illness.
Very sadly, Floss passed away at midday on 9th December 2014. She had a zest for life and wanted to pursue her passion to become a film director. Everyone who knew her well was impacted in the most positive way, and we cannot begin to express how much we all miss her.
As one of her school friends wrote:
"Rest in peace you beautiful, hilarious, feisty, courageous and frankly inspirational girl. You made me laugh, made me smile and made me back down in every single debate. I will never forget the incredible drive and strength you put behind everything you did. I am honoured to be able to say that you were my friend and I will never ever forget you."
The four of us are running the 2016 London marathon to raise money for Bloodwise. In our small way we hope to raise funds to help this great charity find a cure so that, unlike our wonderful Floss, others who contract leukaemia can know they won't suffer a similar fate.
Please also come and support us on the marathon route on 24th April 2016.
