Story
Hi everyone.A lot of my friends already know of my son Billy who suffers with the condition Myotonic Dystrophy. He lives with it everyday, as do other members of my family.Days can be a real struggle as he has to deal with chronic fatigue,Mobility problems, speech problems and live with these things that affect him in ways that most other teenagers never experience.
This is the same for all other sufferers of the condition all experiencing similar issues in their daily lives.
We have been part of the Myotonic Dystrophy support group since we first got the diagnosis for Billy. This then led to my wife Maxine and other members of our family finding out that they had got the condition in various forms.
I want to give something back in a small way for all the support over the years we have had from the support group and use the money raised to go towards research into the condition to hopefully make peoples lives that little bit easier.
I am not climbing Mount Everest, not yet anyway.I will be growing my hair for a full year without as much as a pair of scissors touching it.
As anyone who knows me i am not blessed with much anyway but i will shave my head on 1st April and we will see what the outcome is in 12 months time.
Would love to raise as much as i can for this fantastic cause and Thank you all in advance for any donation however big or small
Many Thanks.
