In the past I have donated to a number of charities but felt that the time had come to get properly involved with a charity that I very much support. It embraces two principles that are very important to me; Improving the management of urological conditions and teamworking.

A group of 30 Urologists from around the country will be taking part in Bike Argentina commencing March 3rd 2012 in an effort to raise as much money as possible. The aim is to cycle 470km over 6 days and a large part of this is off-road in a rather remote part of Argentina and Chile.

The Urology Foundation aims to improve the management of urological problems through the development and support of medical education and sponsorship of research. Urological Issues have been somewhat neglected perhaps partly through men's relative inability to face up to their failing health and the embarassing nature of a number of conditions affecting both men and women.
