Having only started running in September 2021, a year after heart surgery, I've found something I really enjoy and thought I should do something with it. So, here we go, a half marathon, could it be the shape of things to come?

I've lost both of my parents to cancer, my father when I was 5 and my mother when I was 33. My wife, Kim lost her mum to cancer when she was 26. Kim and her brothers set up the charity Petal - The Christine Woodberry Memorial Trust in memory of her fight with cancer, who she was and all she did for raising money for the fight against cancer. Alas, we all seem to be touched by cancer in one way or another nowadays, so let's help out and support cancer patients and their families as best we can. Petal will help to recognise and support the courage and determination of thousands of men, women and children throughout England and Wales who work and cope with cancer every day. We will raise funds that will help in the care, treatment and support of cancer patients and their families.
