I lost my Mom, Fay on November 8th 2018. She passed away suddenly and her death has caused shock and sorrow to all those who knew her.
Mom, throughout the years had battled with depression, anxiety and other mental health issues and as her illness took hold of her, she would often make comments regarding the lack of support available for those living with chronic mental illness.
I’m challenging myself to run 300km in December and I would like to combine this challenge to raise funds, and awareness of mental health.
I have chosen the mental health charity “mind” to be the subsidiary of any donations given.
Ironically, running is a proven form of therapy for some forms of depression, and it’s something I actively encourage anyone to do. If you can relate to issues regarding depression or other forms of mental illness then I encourage you to lace up and hit the pavement if you can, you will not regret it in the long run.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and please come back for regular updates on my progress throughout the month.
Many thanks
Rich
