Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Nearly 2 years ago very good friends lost their son Luis to cancer. Initially diaganosed with an Osteosarcoma - a rare bone cancer - of the fibula in his right leg just short of his 12th birthday in 2013, Luis unfortunately developed a secondary cancer in his lungs and finally lost his fight with these terrible cancers in September 2014.
At the time of his diagnosis, I promised to myself to help raise funds to help the ongoing research into sarcomas. Having taken up cycling in July of 2014 an incentive to me was that one day I would undertake a ride in Luis' memory and hopefully raise some valuable funds for Sarcoma UK.
That day is now booked - July 17th 2016 - when I will ride the 80 miles of the Tour Ride Northamptonshire - Official Sportive of the Aviva Women's Tour - on behalf of Sarcoma UK and in memory of this very special young boy.
Please visit www.sarcoma.or.uk for more information on the key research that the charity undertakes and the support it provides.
Please visit www.lu15.co.uk for Luis' story and why he is an inspiration to me and many others.
