Story
Once again this year I am raising money for Chestnut Tree House, an amazing children’s hospice serving East and West Sussex! Having seen first-hand what they do, it really is an amazing charity/facility for families in what is undoubtedly the toughest time they will ever face.
So to help encourage a donation or 2, over the next 10 weeks I will be…
- Cycling 277km solo in the outer Hebrides and highlands with over 5000m of climbing up and over Britain’s biggest mountain pass…
- Running a lap of the Isle of Wight in one go, 106km with over 2500m of climbing
- Cycling 220km up hill and down dale on the South East’s steepest roads
- Competing in what was voted last year as the world’s toughest Ironman, Triathlon X in the lake district… it finishes with a marathon up England’s biggest mountain
- Finally, with 4 days rest after the Ironman I will be taking on with my colleagues and friends, a gentle non-stop stroll along a 100km stretch of the South Downs Way.
The elevation is far in excess of twice up Everest and if you include the training it would certainly see me well into the Stratosphere.
If anyone thinks this isn’t going to hurt I have barely trained this year (see strava) so if I have irritated you at least once in your life, and chances are good of this, a donation will make sure that you get to inflict some pain on me!!
Thank you all so much!
