This is the first half marathon I've attempted and I'm running it to mark the 10th anniversary of my niece Georgia losing her brave battle with a brain tumour at the age of 3 years.

During Georgia's illness Clic Sargent were a major support, not only for Georgia but all our family for which we will be eternally grateful.

The Clic Sargent Team based at Sheffield Children's Hospital couldn't have been more supportive especially Liz East who was Georgia's dedicated support.

Hopefully by running the Great North Run I can raise a  few pounds for the charity and this will go to benefiting many more families in the future.
