Story

I have been doing this charity walk since it started as Harris Hospice Bluebell Walk. I have walked with my children, grandchildren and friends through mud and sunshine. When the Fun Walk started I thought it would be fun to wear a fake bum I had for a laugh, and to help raise money by charging £1 a pinch on the walk. Enjoyed several walks with lots of laughs over the years. Unfortunately this year’s fundraising walk has been cancelled. I myself have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and at the moment awaiting surgery. Therefore felt it so important to do my annual bit for this great Hospice which does so much to serve the community of SE London and Kent. I intend walking alone from my home to High Elms and back (wearing my bum!) should be around 3/4 miles!! Hope to raise a few bob for this worthy cause who have lost so much necessary income in these terrible times.

Thank you

Ria x
