Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As most of you are aware, Nick (my uncle) has downs and is thriving as a 60 something year old, who, now that covid restrictions have allowed, has yet again a better social life than the rest of us. Nick goes out with support workers around 3 times a week, and we know as a family unit how important that time is for him and my parents who care for him. He also has access to a respite centre which he can go to for a couple nights when needed and without such facilities trying to find someone who could look out for a him for a few nights would be very difficult. We know how important these services are which is why I decided to use my ballot spot for the marathon to raise funds for the Down’s syndrome association so that they can help families like ours who need the support.
I know it’s an awful time for everyone at the moment, I appreciate anything that you may be able to give.
Thank you very much ☺️
