Story
Rhos Utd is a small village football club in North Wales. We have twelve boys on our books and they are a close knit group as most of the team have been together since they were seven years old.
One of our boys (Leo), who has been with us since the beginning has always been a big part of the team. He has always given 100% on and off the pitch, he loves his football and he loves playing for Rhos Utd. Leo's family have been a big part of Rhos Utd, (it was Leo's Dad who first started coaching the team) and his Mum would often come down and support him from the sidelines. Tragically Leo's Mum has a brain tumor and although she has been through many different forms of treatment, the tumor is now terminal and there is little time before she is taken from us. Throughout this time Mum, Dad and grandparents have kept coming to watch the games when they can, unfortunately Leo's Mum will not be able to get to any more games as she is unable to walk and she now has very little speech.
As a team and extended football family we are walking up Snowdon with Leo on September the 17th.Firstly to raise money for this hugely worthwhile cause, but also to show Leo that all of us at Rhos Utd are here for him and his family. We hope that this will help in some small way in showing Leo that we care and we want to help in whatever way we can. I know that the extended Rhos Utd Family (parents and grandparents), will all want to get involved as we have all been touched by what has happened.
Please contribute in whatever way you can. I know that Leo and his family will appreciate it.
