As many of you now know, the SNIPS team have lost our lovely colleague and friend, Karen Mochan, who sadly died 27/11/20.

Karen worked in SNIPS for twenty years, most of those in the role of specialist midwife for homeless families, which was a role she excelled at, and made her own.

She was the heart of our team for all those years, and we cannot begin to imagine how we will manage without her.

From speaking to other departments, we are aware that Karen had a huge influence beyond the team, and many of you have asked how best to show your regard for her. Karen died in Kilbryde hospice, and their care of her was second to none.

Her family have asked for donations to the hospice, rather than flowers, and we would happily accept any other contributions, along with our own. 

Thank you so much on behalf of the team, for all the words of support and understanding you have been offering us, it means a great deal to us to know how much she was valued throughout the hospital,
