Story

Story

We are taking part in the Sunrise Walk in memory of Rhodri Rees and to raise money for Shooting Stars Children's Hospices, a charity that makes every moment count for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. The walk is a 10k route around Guildford, taking in part of the North Downs Way, the River Way and the picturesque St Martha’s on the Hill.

Rhodri was born with multiple complications which meant he had a very short life expectancy. When his family were told this heartbreaking news they were transferred to Christopher's Hospice in Guildford where they were able to spend time as a family. When Rhodri passed away, his parents, Chris and Charmaine, were able to stay at the hospice, recovering, processing everything and receiving counselling and support from the the team.

They will always be grateful for everything the hospice has done and continues to do for their family.

Thank you for all your support!
