12 months ago I booked my number one on the bucket list, with the hope that the COVID crisis would be coming to an end. Little did I realise another crisis would start in Ukraine just as I'm about to set off.

Im now close to the adventure of life time beginning, and while I'm heading towards my big life goal, many people, including children are having to run away from their homes and lives, not knowing what will happen next.

When I set about taking on this challenge last year, there was  little thought to raising money for charity. However so many people have asked me if I'm doing it for a charity, so here I am, and as they say every little helps.

If you can spare the price of a half a pint of beer, a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, I'd be grateful, and it will definitely spur me on when these middle aged legs of mine start to tire or the altitude sickness kicks in,  on my way to Everest base camp. There are so many charities out there id be keen to raise money for, but right now any money raised towards this tragic and completely unnecessary conflict in Ukraine, will hopefully help those in dire need.
