Story
Having witnessed how devastating Alzheimer's can be first-hand (my mother died in 2016), I am acutely aware that something needs to be done to fight the condition. That’s why I’m asking people to join me in confronting it head-on.
Talking about the condition is the first step, but there is so much more that can be done. We all need to gain a better understanding and awareness of the condition and of the support available, because life does not have to end when dementia begins.
The Alzheimer’s Society is doing everything it can to keep people connected to their lives for longer, so if you are worried about dementia and in need of support or advice, get in touch with the society. Thanks for your help.
