Story
This is 2020. Prioritizing mental health has never been more important than it is this year.
To mark World Mental Health Day on 10 October 2020, Johnson & Johnson colleagues across the UK are focusing on supporting the mental health of others, and their own wellbeing by taking part in 37 Moments for Mental Health throughout the month of October through our partnership with Mental Health UK
The number 37 represents our partnership with Mental Health UK support for the commitment in the NHS Long Term Plan to reach 370,000 adults per year living with severe mental illness - helping them gain greater choice and control over their care, and supporting them to live well in their communities.
My personal commitment is to run 3.7 miles a day for 37 days from the 1st of October to the 6th of November, my challenge is to be consistent ...with a busy home and work life finding the time and commitment to make this happen for the next 37 days is my goal!
When the initial COVID-19 lockdown measures were implemented earlier this year the Mental Health UK helplines and advice and information services received approximately 500,000 calls for support in the fist 6 weeks – a 37 fold increase...it is becoming crystal clear that mental health needs must be treated as a core element of our response to and recovery from the pandemic
Just £37 could help someone in need of support have their call into one of Mental Health UKs helplines answered, and receive information and advice about the practical impact of living with a mental illness to someone in need of help.
Thank you for your support!
