The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·
Thank you everyone for getting this far.
Everyone who knows me well knows how reluctant I am usually to get involved in this kind of activity. BUT extraordinary times requires us all to do our bit - regretfully I can't help in other ways - but I can help raise awareness of the fantastic work ZSL does for the world's wildlife and hopefully inspire others to take on a new challenge!
Those who know me, also know I love a challenge. I gave up meat to see if I could and I haven't looked back. I gave up alcohol to help my mental health and I'm happier than ever. I'm currently doing the couch to 5km running challenge to get fitter and I love it (in spite of a dodgy ankle!). Soo... now is my time to take on a challenge to help others.
From Sunday 26th April, for 26 days I will be cooking a different vegetarian national dish from a different country in the world (beginning with the 26 letters of the alphabet in turn) and highlighting a different conservation challenge that country faces. #CookingforConservation
Sound easy?! It might be for those seasoned cooks amongst you...but I'm not one of those people! Up until now, cereal or a baked potato would do me, so this is really going to challenge my culinary ability and invention skills when some ingredients may be hard to source.
So please donate to this amazing cause and join me on my journey via Twitter (@RhiannonEGreen) and Instagram (rhiannonegreen) as I share my culinary disasters and triumphs with you! You can help me to select the national dishes to try by sending through recommendations (ingredients allowing) and hopefully learn a bit along the way.
Thank you in advance for your support in all its forms - see you on the other side!
