Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When my Uncle Barry was diagnosed with cancer, he was transferred to Willow Wood Hospice in Ashton.
The Hospice provides specialist care to those suffering with life-threatening illnesses. It is a place of warmth and comfort set in a homely environment and is full of life, love and laughter. The staff and many volunteers ensure patients maintain their dignity and live life to the full within their own limitations.
Unfortunately, my uncle passed away - but the care he was given whilst at the Hospice was second to none, which is why I want to raise the money for them.
The staff and volunteers at Willow Wood Hospice are committed to providing a better quality of life for patients and is designed with the needs of the patients and their families in mind and provides a warm and cheery atmosphere.
The last time I did a 'proper' run was around 10 years ago when I was in school, so I hope this spurs people on to donate what they can - as it won't be easy for me!!! Running isnt exactly my strong point haha
Thanks for reading guys, and please please please give what you can for a great Hospice.
