300km in 30 days for 300,000 in the UK living with lifelong diseases

300km for 300,000 in the UK are living with lifelong diseases · 1 November 2020
2020 marks 20 years of my journey with Ulcerative Colitis. With a little help from my company, Newsflare, and some inspiration from them to get me going, 'You do something for you', it's motivated me to kick off a fundraising page to mark such a huge milestone in my life!
In 30 days, I'll be cycling 300km to raise money for the 300,000 people in the UK living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of.
Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people are suffering in silence.
Crohn's and Colitis has many life-limiting factors, from severe fatigue to lack of sleep from pain. These symptoms can have a huge impact on one's mental wellbeing too.
I, like many others, have had my ups and downs during lockdown, trying to keep as active as possible and to keep my mind as active as possible to get me through the difficult days.
As the days are turning shorter, I've turned to my bike and the help of a fab mate to keep me motivated to carry me far around London and make the most of the daylight and keep as fit and healthy as possible!
Please donate as little or as many squids as you can, as Crohn's and Colitis are a fundamental charity. Funding for research is so important to increase people's knowledge of the causes and best treatments of Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.
Big Love.
