Story
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in August 2019. This was identified in a routine check which I undertook following a work colleague, friend and my brother-in-law being previously diagnosed.
This was a difficult time for my family and myself. Having undergone treatment at the Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital where I received excellent care by the entire team in the Cancer Centre, I have now returned to work.
Prostate cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men with over 11,000 men dying every year in the UK and these numbers are increasing.
Because of this I have decided to raise funds for the Prostate Cancer Research Centre (PCRC). Their aim is to develop new therapy for men with advanced prostate cancer.
Their immediate goal is to increase survival numbers and to find a cure for this disease
