Story
Hi All,
I am turning 45 in May, finally feeling healthy after a long few years and wanted to do something that I have never done before, something BIG. I wanted my 'something BIG' to be tied to health and wellness and have that 'something BIG'' raise funds so that I could give something back.
I joined My Peak Challenge in January and for the first time in what seems like forever, I love being active and working out, which for those that know me well, know this is 'something BIG' for me. Therefore I felt it only appropriate to give back to the charity that got me moving and enjoying it. Blood Wise - Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of the UK.
Personally I am donating $500.00 ($1.00 per mile). I will need to walk 5.1 miles a day for 98 days. I hope that with your help we can raise $5,000.00.
Look at it this way - since I haven't gotten married or had kids, you can donate in lieu of what would have been an engagement, wedding, or baby gift! :) Think of the Sex and the City episode when Carrie's Manolo's go missing at a house party.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Note: if the charge doesn't go through try changing the currency to GBP and it should work.
